Why Doesn't Learn2 Support My Device Anymore? As a piece of technology, handheld devices have a shelf life and eventually become outdated in terms of their compatibility with new operating systems and, therefore, continuously updating software, such as Learn2. This is something completely outside of our control and sits with the device manufacturers who maintain said devices.
We regularly test devices for their compatibility with Learn2 through our partner Cap2 and when they cannot guarantee this anymore we are forced to stop supporting the device and recommend you purchase a new one.
List of Supported Devices as at 9th December 2020.
Android The oldest Android version we currently support is 7.0 Nougat (2016). We would however recommend devices using 8.0 Oreo (2017) to 10.0 (2019).
We have not had access to Android 11.0 to be able to test the compatibility of that version yet.
iPad The oldest iPad we currently support is the 5th Gen (2017).
iPad Mini The oldest iPad Mini we currently support is the 2nd Gen (2013). We would however recommend using the 4th Gen (2015) or above.
iPad Air The oldest iPad Air we currently support is the 1st Gen (2013). We would however recommend using the 2nd Gen (2014) or above.
iPad Pro The oldest iPad Pro we currently support is the 1st Gen (2015/16).
iPhone The oldest iPhone we currently support is the iPhone 5 (2012). We would however recommend using iPhone 7 (2016) to iPhone SE2 (2020).
We have not had access to an iPhone 12 to be able to test the compatibility of that device yet.
iPod Touch The oldest iPod Touch we currently support is the 6th Gen (2015).
Kindle We do not support Kindle devices so would strongly advise against purchasing them for use with Learn2.
Replacing Your Unsupported Device If the time has come for you to replace your handheld device, we are sure you will agree that 3 - 6 years, depending on the device type, isn't a bad return on your investment for something you use every day.
